University of Nyíregyháza

The University of Nyíregyháza (NyE), formed in 2000 from the merger of the György Bessenyei Teachers Training College (founded 1962) and the Nyíregyháza Agricultural College Faculty, is a public university in north-eastern Hungary hosting around 5,000 students. Organized into 11 institutes spanning engineering and agriculture, business and management, natural sciences, humanities, languages, mathematics and computer science, music, sport science, and teacher training, NyE draws a growing international student body, largely through the Stipendium Hungaricum scholarship program.
