University of Bristol

Bristol, United Kingdom

The University of Bristol, founded in 1876 and granted its Royal Charter in 1909, is a Russell Group research university and one of the UK's original "red brick" institutions. It offers over 600 undergraduate and postgraduate degrees across its Clifton city-centre campus, the Langford veterinary campus, and the newly opened Temple Quarter Enterprise Campus. Bristol has strong industry links to the UK's aerospace and engineering sector through nearby Airbus and Rolls-Royce operations, and is associated with 13 Nobel laureates including physicist Paul Dirac. With over 30,000 students from more than 140 countries and around 94% of its research rated world-leading or internationally excellent (REF 2021), Bristol consistently ranks among the UK's top 10 and the world's top 60 universities.
