Singapore University of Social Sciences
Singapore, Singapore
The Singapore University of Social Sciences (SUSS), founded in 2005 as SIM University and renamed in 2017, is Singapore's sixth autonomous university and its only institution specialising in the social sciences. Built around a distinctive "3H" philosophy — Head for professional competency, Heart for social awareness, and Habit for lifelong learning — SUSS serves both fresh school leavers and working adult learners with more than 80 flexible, modular undergraduate and graduate programmes. Based on a Clementi campus, SUSS is organised into five schools: the S R Nathan School of Human Development, the School of Business, the School of Science and Technology, the School of Law (Singapore's third law school, established in 2017), and the School of Humanities and Behavioural Sciences. SUSS is particularly known for social work, gerontology, criminology, Chinese studies and counselling, and hosts the Institute for Adult Learning under Singapore's national SkillsFuture initiative.
