Dennis Gabor University (DGU), established in 1992 as Dennis Gabor College and elevated to university status in 2023, is a private Budapest institution named after Hungarian-British Nobel laureate physicist Dennis Gabor, inventor of holography. Focused on information technology and economics, DGU was among Hungary's pioneers of distance and e-learning education and operates dedicated research labs in Drone Technology and Image Processing, and Digital Education. Around 2,000 students study across its computer science/IT and economic science programs, with more than 15,000 alumni over three decades.
